Saltwater Fly Fishing in California

The striped bass is limited to around the San Francisco Bay area. They use the bay in transit to spawning grounds in the Sacramento River watershed. Anchovies are their main diet. If you ever see a flock of seagulls hovering and diving over an area, go there quickly because they are feeding off the scraps of some school of feeding fish.
